Giveaway and Girl Name Advice Needed!

...okay, all! DH and I are doing massive cleaning and storing and packing and repacking of our house to make room for this little baby that's coming our way. In the process, I have found decorations that have been stored away and not pulled out since oh...2006 when I moved into my house!

We also need help with girl names!!! We have our boy name picked out (another post for later) but cannot agree on a girl name. Our front runner right now is Autumn but I have two drawbacks to this name:

1. DH has a cousin named Autumn although in the 5+ years we've been together, I don't ever recall meeting her.
2. Is she going to resent being named Autumn but being born in the spring? DH said, "No, she'll say, that's the ironic part...my parents named me Autumn but I was born in the spring." I said, "Yeah right, she'll be like, No, my dumbass parents named me Autumn but I was born in the spring!" DH was like our Autumn would never say that. I said, I bet that's one thing we can bet she'll say.

So here's the criteria...
1. Middle name is probably going to start with an R, either Rose or Rosalee.
2. Last name starts with a G.
3. Something different, but not too out there. I loved being the only of my name in my classes growing up but hated my name being pronounced wrong.
4. Nothing too common...so if it's in the top 50, it's a no-go.
5. I would really like a G first name but so far haven't loved any G girl names i.e. Gretchen, Gia, Gina, Grace, Gabi, Gabrielle, etc...

I'm going to give one lucky commenter some type of decoration that my mom hand made. I will post a picture later because I'm literally walking out the door to meet my bestie for some maternity clothes and baby stuff-woohoo!!! So please leave a comment with your best girl name suggestions! You have until 1/31 at 5pm to submit an entry for the giveaway but feel free to leave girl name suggestions whenever. I'll announce the winner on 2/1.

Thanks in advance for your help!

PS
Baby room walls have been primed and paint has been purchased! DH and his dad are painting the room next Saturday when I work. As for the rest of the house, we are SLOWLY making progress. All I have to say is thank goodness we have trash day 2x/week!

Georgia, Grace, Genevieve? You're right, all the girl names I saw that start with G are kinda odd! Like Glenda bleh. Pilar just named her daughter Gianna, I love that name. And Gabriella. So glad you're making progress!

Oh I can't wait to see nursery colors!! Please post them soon since I'm about to start on mine and need more inspiration! :)

Autumn in the spring is fine...my BFF Rock had her daughter in March and they named her Autumn too.

As far as G names...I love GEORGIA!! I can't ever use it because I have a friend who used that name for her daughter. There's also Georgette, Gwenneth, and Gwendolen....just to name a few

Good luck with the nursery...can't wait to see pics...I never posted my pics of my nursery...forgot about it...

Lurker here! What about Grayson or Grayson? Good luck!

I meant to type Graysen for that last one. Damn auto correct!

I really like Autumn and I don't think it matters that she was born in the spring. I love the name August (for a boy) and certainly don't think he'd need to be born in August to use it, so it's no different for Autumn. :)

I love Autumn Rose, or Autumn Grace. I'll have to put my thinking cap on. I saw Godiva, which I liked because of the meaning - God's gift - but do you want to name your child after chocolate? LOL Can't wait to see the nursery!

We're having the hardest time with girl names as well! We're set and satisfied with plenty of boys names, but of course we need a girl's name because we're having a little girl! We used our favorite girl name for our daughter that will be arriving home through adoption. So I'm with you... very much looking for suggestions! :)

Ok... so for G names, I really like Gwendalyn or Greysen. G names are difficult! We also have considered Madelyn, Brielle, Naphtali, Caria, Adalaide, Adalane, Laila, Paige, and Reese. We just can't settle on one that we both like! :\ Best of luck in finding a name! :)

I want to suggest the name "Gisele" and I agree with everybody who suggested "Graysen." Such a pretty name.

I personally love the name Autumn and I don't think it matters when they are born. My friend's name is Noel and she was born in April! G names I like, Georgia, Georgette, Grace, Gracie, Ginger, Ginny, Greta, Gwendolyn or Gwen.

How about some old-style Hollywood inspired G names like Greta, Greer/Grier or Ginger.

The cool part of your story is that you found out you were definitely pregnant in Autumn, so that's another reason why you could ultimately name her that...

Jordyn.... doesn't start with a G, but has the G sound... :)
