Post IVF Period

What was everyone else's like? Was it longer than normal? Pre-IVF, my period was always 26-29 days long. If my period had started yesterday, it would have been 28 days. Today is CD 29 and nothing. I'm going to be really pissed if all those drugs and stuff messed me up because my periods were ALWAYS normal. GRR!!! Dr. Val said not to freak out unless they ar 35+ days long. If my period's still not here by noon tomorrow (day 30), I'm going to call Mary and ask her if this is normal or happens to other people.

Please if you've had a failed IVF cycle, let me know how long your cycle was after the BFN. Thanks ladies!

I'm on CD 27 today (my unsuccessful IVF cycle was in December). So, I'm due to start tomorrow. I'm usually spot on. I feel like AF will be here any minute, so I don't think I'll be that much longer. I hope you start soon and that the drugs, etc. didn't mess with your perfectly timed cycle. That would be so annoying!!!!

Hey girl! This is my first time commenting on your blog. I just started following you recently and I am so sorry about your BFN. I had a failed IVF in October and my post IVF cycle was a little bit longer than usual. Like you, I was very regular, 26-29 days and was going to be super ticked if those meds had messed me up! It ended up being a 33 day cycle for me. Hoping AF shoes her ugly head soon for you.....

Hi! I just found your blog through a mutual blog friend and I read up on your story a little. A short version of my story--I did my first IVF in May of 2010, had a doctor tell me that we had a 80% chance of conceiving because our embryos were "that" good and then got the dreaded BFN call a couple of weeks later. It sucks, there's no easy way of saying it. To answer your question, my period started the day that I got the BFN (what a fantastic day) which put it exactly 28 days. I'm sure that whatever meds you took and just your body in general makes the difference, but that was my experience.
Also, I know that nothing looks hopeful right now because you're dealing with a failed cycle. But we did our first FET in July (just 2 months after the failed IVF) and we are expecting our baby in April. I hope that 2011 is your year!

I dont have any advice, but I hope AF has come your way! I know how frustrating it can be to be off.
